The Statesman

Invercargill, Southland

Set within Windsor, Invercargill, this renovation reimagines a traditional home for modern living while respecting its original character. The design focuses on improving spatial flow and strengthening the connection between the house and its garden setting. A new extension to the south introduces a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and living area filled with natural light. Large sliding doors open directly to a timber deck and courtyard, extending the living spaces outdoors. Careful retention of existing elements preserves the home’s established character while introducing a contemporary interior that is warm, light-filled and suited to modern family life.
