Working from our Invercargill base, our projects span across Southland, Central Otago, Christchurch, and beyond. Our work responds to site and purpose, with careful attention to form, light, texture, and spatial experience.

Matt Anderson-Stewart

Director & Architectural Designer

Matt holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies, with earlier qualifications in Architectural Technology, and brings extensive experience in bespoke residential architecture. Travel following his studies broadened his perspective and deepened his appreciation for architecture internationally, reinforcing a career grounded in thoughtful, place-responsive design. Since establishing MAS Architecture in 2014, Matt has been known for his client-focused approach and tailored architectural responses shaped by landscape, context, and careful collaboration. He is also the current Chair of ADNZ, reflecting his ongoing contribution to the profession.
