The design responds to its setting and proximity to Kawarau Falls Park, balancing privacy, outlook, and sun. Living spaces are oriented north with generous glazing and outdoor areas to capture light and views, while overhangs provide control in summer. The form is broken into simple volumes to reduce scale and sit comfortably within the site. A restrained palette of plaster, stone, and vertical timber adds depth and texture, grounded in the surrounding context. Internally, the layout is clear and functional, supporting easy day to day living. The result is a calm, well resolved home with a strong and enduring presence.
